In the last report presented by MIDAGRI, they concluded that an accumulated volume of 571.7 million tons was registered in August 2021 for exports, representing a growth of 45% compared to the same period the previous year (394.3 million tons).
141.2 million tons of avocadoes were shipped during August 2021, 155.7% more than what was exported in August 2020, which was 55.2 million tons.
This has consolidated Peru as the world’s second largest supplier of avocadoes, displacing the Netherlands.
